Travel Books & Guides
Travel books have become my favorite ever since the pandemic started. I have read many books that make me feel like I am traveling even when I am not. The books below are my favorite that will inspire your next trip and help you fall in love with places before you even visit them.
Scott Keyes of Scott’s Cheap Flights teaches us how to find airfare the right way in his new book. This guide will make everyone a cheap flight guru.
Eric Weiner’s humorous take on travel and happiness will make everyone smile. You will travel around the world to ten countries searching for one of the most desired things in life: happiness.
This book is full of advice everyone needs before traveling on a budget. Even if you don’t stay in hostels or fly on budget airlines, you can learn a lot from this book.
Nomadic Matt shares his journey of backpacking around the world in this honest memoir. This book is perfect for everyone with a love for travel, no matter how big or small.
Thrillers & Mysteries
Besides travel books, I love to read thrillers that keep me on the edge of my seat. I can stay up all night reading one of these books since they are so good. I have listed my favorites below, and I promise these will keep you turning the pages in suspense!
Alex Finlay combines true-crime documentary and the search for justice in this book of twists and turns you never expect. This book is told from multiple perspectives, and every character brings new clues to the story that will keep you guessing.
Mary Kubica’s best thriller yet. The book has a similar structure to her others, with multiple perspectives throughout the story. A move from Chicago to coastal Maine brings destruction to Sadie and her family after their neighbor is murdered.
The Half Sister puts a family’s loyalty to the test after their father dies and a mysterious girl claiming to be their father’s daughter. The two sisters, the mom and the half-sister, all have troubles of their own on top of finding the truth about their family.
The Good Girl is a book that first got me into the Thriller genre. I picked it up at an airport, and I had no idea what twists were in store. I can’t give anything away, but you won’t expect anything that happens in this book.
