To ring in 2024, I spent New Year’s with EF Ultimate Break in Costa Rica. I knew it would be a fun trip, but I’m not kidding when I say it exceeded my expectations in every way.
Not only is it fun to experience how another culture celebrates the holiday, but I was with a fantastic group of people my age who also signed up for a fun New Year’s celebration.

Another excellent spot for a Europe trip for New Year’s Eve in Europe is Edinburgh. There are two options for spending NYE in Edinburgh: a shorter trip to two cities and a longer trip diving into three countries.

- New Year’s in Edinburgh: England, Scotland & Ireland: This trip is a 17-day journey through three beautiful countries you will fall in love with.

South America Trips for New Year’s
Another option is to spend New Year’s Eve in South America, with trips to Peru or Ecuador.
- New Year’s in Quito: Ecuador & the Galápagos: The Galapagos is on many people’s bucket lists, and on this trip, you can spend time there and on mainland Ecuador.
- New Year’s Peru & Machu Picchu Adventure: Machu Picchu is another highlight of South America. This trip is ten days long and goes to 4 cities in Peru.

Finally, you can visit Australia for New Year’s with EF Ultimate Break. One trip goes to just Australia, and the other adds a week in New Zealand.
