Once you arrive, Ronda’s train station is about a 10-minute walk from the historic center. If you’re traveling during peak season, it’s worth booking your tickets in advance, as some departures can sell out.

Driving from Malaga to Ronda takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes and is the fastest way to reach the town. The route follows the A-357 and A-367 highways through the Andalusian countryside, with mountain views along much of the drive.
One of the biggest advantages of renting a car is the flexibility it gives you. You can visit Ronda at your own pace and easily add stops in nearby white villages such as Setenil de las Bodegas, one of the most popular day trips from Ronda.
Once you arrive, you’ll find several public parking lots within walking distance of the historic center. Since many streets in the old town are narrow and difficult to navigate, it’s usually easiest to park outside the center and explore on foot.

The train from Seville Santa Justa Station to Ronda typically takes around 2 to 2.5 hours. There are several departures throughout the day, making it a convenient option for both day trips and longer stays.
If you’re renting a car, the drive from Seville to Ronda takes about 2 hours via the A-375 and A-374 highways. Having a car gives you more flexibility and allows you to stop in some of Andalusia’s white villages along the way.
Buses also run between Seville and Ronda and usually take between 2.5 and 3 hours. While they’re often the cheapest option, they tend to take longer than driving or taking the train.
How To Get To Ronda From Marbella
Marbella is one of the easiest places to visit Ronda from. If you’re renting a car, driving is by far the best option and takes around 1 hour and 15 minutes via the A-397.
The drive passes through the mountains and offers some of the most scenic views in southern Spain. Along the way, you’ll travel through part of the Sierra de las Nieves area before arriving in Ronda.
If you don’t have a car, direct buses also connect Marbella and Ronda. The journey typically takes around 2 hours, making it a convenient alternative for travelers relying on public transportation.
Because of its close proximity, Marbella is one of the most popular bases for visiting Ronda on a day trip.

If you don’t have a car, public transportation is available, although it usually requires a transfer. Most routes involve taking a train to Antequera-Santa Ana before continuing to Ronda by train or bus. Depending on connections, the journey typically takes between 3 and 4 hours.
Because of the travel time, I recommend spending at least one night in Ronda if you’re visiting from Granada rather than trying to fit everything into a day trip.
How To Get To Ronda From Benalmadena
Benalmadena is another popular Costa del Sol destination that’s within easy reach of Ronda. If you’re renting a car, driving is the fastest and easiest option.
The drive takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes via the AP-7 and A-397 highways. Once you leave the coast, you’ll travel through the mountains before arriving in Ronda.
If you don’t have a car, public transportation is available but requires a transfer in Malaga. Most routes involve taking the train to Malaga Maria Zambrano Station and then continuing to Ronda by train or bus. Depending on connections, the journey usually takes between 2.5 and 3 hours.
Because of its proximity to Ronda, Benalmadena makes an excellent base for a day trip.
