I love finding ways to travel more while spending less, especially when points, miles, and cheap flights are involved. Over the last few years, I’ve used both Daily Drop and Daily Drop Pro to learn more about points and miles and find better travel deals. While they have similar names, they actually do different things and can work really well together.

If you’re trying to understand the difference between Daily Drop vs. Daily Drop Pro, this guide breaks down what each one offers, what they cost, and who I think will get the most value from each.

Daily Drop vs. Daily Drop Pro

While Daily Drop and Daily Drop Pro have similar names, they are actually different products designed for different purposes.

Daily Drop is the free side of the brand and focuses on helping travelers learn more about points, miles, credit cards, and travel strategies. Beyond the daily newsletter, it also includes free guides, tools, a Miles & Points 101 course, and the Daily Drop Lounge Facebook community. It is built more around education and helping travelers learn how to travel better. Based on everything they now offer, Daily Drop has become much more than just an email newsletter. Daily Drop Pro is a separate platform designed for travelers who want more hands-on tools. It includes flight deal alerts, flight and hotel award searches, points tracking tools, and premium features designed to help you actively find and book travel deals. Sign up for Daily Drop Pro.

The good news is these are not competing products, and you do not really have to choose one over the other. Daily Drop works well as a free resource for learning and travel inspiration, while Daily Drop Pro adds tools that can help you put everything into practice.

What Is Daily Drop?

Daily Drop is a free travel newsletter and resource platform designed to help travelers learn how to use points, miles, travel rewards, and credit cards to travel for less.

The Daily Drop newsletter is sent Monday through Friday and covers travel deals, points and miles news, credit card updates, and tips that can help you save money on travel. One reason I like it is that the emails are quick to read and easy to understand, even if you’re still learning how points and miles work.

Beyond the newsletter, Daily Drop has grown into a much larger travel resource. It now includes educational guides, free tools, a Miles & Points 101 course, and the Daily Drop Lounge Facebook community where travelers can ask questions, share redemptions, and learn from each other.

If you’re newer to points and miles, Daily Drop is a good place to start because a lot of the content focuses on teaching the basics before jumping into more advanced travel strategies.

What Is Daily Drop Pro?

Daily Drop Pro, formerly FareDrop, is a travel tool and membership platform designed to help travelers find better flight deals and get more value from their points and miles.

While flight deal alerts are still a major part of Daily Drop Pro, it now also includes flight and hotel award searches, travel tools, points tracking, and a members-only community.

Some of the biggest Daily Drop Pro features include:

  • Flight deal alerts from up to 10 home airports
  • Flight award searches
  • Hotel points searches
  • Points Wallet
  • Pro Lounge community
  • 1:1 redemption support

Daily Drop Pro is a paid service, but it also has a Free plan, which you can learn more about in the next section.

Daily Drop and Daily Drop Pro Pricing

One of the biggest differences between Daily Drop and Daily Drop Pro is pricing.

Daily Drop is completely free and always has been. You can sign up for the newsletter with your email and get access to travel tips, points and miles content, guides, free tools, and educational resources at no cost.

Daily Drop Pro is a paid membership platform with additional travel tools and features. The Pro membership normally costs $149 per year, although they regularly run promotions and discounted first-year offers. Sign up for Daily Drop Pro!

🚨 Memorial Day Sale: From May 22 to 26, 2026, you can get $50 off your first year of Daily Drop Pro. No code needed… the discount is applied automatically at checkout! 🚨

With Daily Drop Pro, you get access to:

  • Flight deal alerts
  • Flight and hotel points searches
  • Up to 10 home airports
  • Points Wallet
  • Pro Lounge access
  • 1:1 redemption support
  • Additional member perks

I go into all of these features in more detail in my full Daily Drop Pro guide.

There is also a Limited plan that is free to sign up for. It includes the Daily Drop newsletter and a limited number of points searches (unlimited within Daily Drop Pro). You will also get three cash deals per week sent to your email. They will be from a “home” airport you select.

I like that you can start with Daily Drop for free and learn the basics first. Then, if you find yourself using points more often or want tools that help you actually find and book deals, Daily Drop Pro becomes your best friend.

Should I Get Daily Drop Or Daily Drop Pro?

If you’re deciding between Daily Drop vs. Daily Drop Pro, I actually think many travelers can benefit from using both.

I recommend starting with Daily Drop because it’s free and gives you a lot of value. I’ve learned a lot from the newsletter over the years, and it is an easy way to stay updated on points and miles news, travel deals, credit card offers, and travel strategies without spending anything. If you’re newer to points and miles, the guides, tools, and educational content make it a great place to start.

I think Daily Drop Pro makes the most sense if you want tools that help you actively find and book travel. The flight deal alerts, flight and hotel points searches, and extra features can save a lot of time if you travel regularly or use points often.

I think you’ll get the most value from Daily Drop Pro if you:

  • Travel multiple times per year
  • Have flexible dates or destinations
  • Use points and miles often
  • Live near a larger airport
  • Want help finding award bookings

You may not need Daily Drop Pro if you:

  • Only take one trip per year
  • Travel on very fixed dates
  • Rarely use points and miles
  • Mainly want travel tips and education

For most people, I would start with Daily Drop since it costs nothing. Then, if you want more advanced tools and travel features, Daily Drop Pro can be a great addition later.
