I’m so glad 23 year-old Rick Steves decided to document his journey on the Hippie Trail, and I’ve loved reading about the adventures him and Gene went on decades later.
You’ll go on an unexpected journey from Europe all the way to the Himalayas, meeting locals, imaging the scenery, and seeing what travel was like in the 1970s.
While the Hippie Trail, from Istanbul to Katmandu, no longer exists in the same form, this book will inspire you to find your own Hippie Trail somewhere in the world, where you can get off the beaten path and see the world.
